I've heard of slap bass before but I never heard of the slap guitar technique before so I thought I would share. Man I wish I was good at the guitar.
that really isn't difficult to do. he tuned his guitar so that his open string ring out as a chord. the higher notes you hear occasionally are called harmonics. do a google on harmonics if you want to learn more

My bro rocks the slap guitar. Standard tuning, no harmonics. It's all about the thumb callous.
